    KRAWCZYK MARIAN

    Kategoria:

    Born: September 2nd, 1915, Poland

    Died: ?, Canada

    Military Rank: strzelec

Military Medals: Polish: commemorative badge of 6th “Lwów” Division (no. 2666), Merit of Polish Veterans’ Association Oshawa, Canada.

Little is known about Krawczyk but we know that he was born in 1915 in Poland. During the Second World War, he served as part of the Polish Second Corps where he served in the 16th Infantry Regiment of 6th “Lwów” Infantry Division and later 3rd Carpathian Infantry Division (?) (ID no. 1915/240/III). As part of this unit, he fought in battles such as Monte Cassino. After the war, he eventually moved to Canada where he was part of the Polish Teachers Association (Polish: Związek Nauczycielstwa Polskiego) and the Polish Associations of Veterans in Oshawa, Ontario. Although much of his story is unknown, what we do know paints a picture of someone, who was deeply passionate about his homeland.
